Global memory market: DDR2 won’t be mainstream this year
Many analysts and memory market observers have suggested a shift in 2021
production and demand from DDR SDRAM to DDRII SDRAM in terms of technology and from 256
Mbit to 512 Mbit chips in terms of capacity. Perhaps the first to disagree with
iSuppli analysts became such opinions.
According to them, DDR II will account for only 13% of total DRAM shipments in Q4
this year, which is not at all similar to the indicators of the transition period, as regards
transition to mass production of chips with a density of 512 Mbit, then the supply of this
